Coach Tour ~ Sunday 10 September 2017

TitanCon Coach Tour 2015

Visiting Larrybane Quarry (Renly's Camp in season two) on the TitanCon 2015 Coach Tour.

When TitanCon first started in 2011 the Game of Thrones tourist industry in Belfast was nonexistent and we were the first to offer a coach tour visiting Game of Thrones filming locations around Northern Ireland. It's a different story six years on and there are several businesses offering daily coach tours. We love the fact that fans have so much choice now and for anyone staying in Belfast for a few extra days we hope you'll take a tour and see more of this beautiful country.

The TitanCon Coach Tour is different to the others - firstly we are a not-for-profit organisation and therefore our ticket prices are at cost price. Secondly our tour is a one off experience, we only do one coach tour a year and each year is a different route visiting different locations. Lastly it's a really big fun group of people that attend making the event truly special with full drunken singalongs on the way home. You'll have a great time!

Coach Tour details coming soon

Tickets for the 2017 Coach Tour are not available for purchase yet because at this time we have not settled on a route. Normally we would want to see the upcoming season of Game of Thrones so that we can visit some new locations that we have not been to before, but this is going to be more difficult this year with season seven airing later than normal in Summer 2017. The last episode may well be shown just a couple of weeks before TitanCon 2017 takes place. It will be nice and fresh in our memories but sadly it will be too late to find those new locations and incorporate them into the Coach Tour.

Therefore we anticipate that this year's tour might need to revisit some locations that we have visited in previous years, but hopefully we can find a couple of places that we haven't been to before. If anyone has suggestions for favourite places they would like us to revisit, or new ideas for where we could go they will be gratefully received and taken on board, though no promises that we can accept every suggestion, but we'll do our best.

We expect to announce full details of the 2017 Coach Tour and open ticket sales before the end of June this year. Please check back for updates and follow us on Twitter for the latest announcements.

Coach Tour itinerary

Although these are not exact times we would expect the Coach Tour itinerary to look something like this:

10.00 am - Depart Wellington Park Hotel
Visit several Game of Thrones filming locations throughout the day
6.00 pm - Hog Roast Feast
8.00 pm - Arrive back in Belfast with drop off points at Europa and Wellington Park Hotel

After party and Dead Dog Party

Once we're back at the Wellington Park Hotel the party doesn't have to end there, we'll be in the Hotel Bar for the remainder of the evening. Also we have a Dead Dog Party (because that's what you feel like after a convention) in the Wellington Park Hotel bar on Monday 11 September from mid morning right through till the evening. So if you're in Belfast on Monday feel free to drop by and join us.
