TitanCon Code of Conduct

TitanCon exists for the enjoyment and enrichment of the fannish community. To ensure that staff and members can achieve this objective in a safe and respectful environment, we ask every convention attendee to comply with our official Code of Conduct.

It is important that you read and understand this Code. Anyone who attends a TitanCon event is expected to follow the Code for the entire duration of the event, including off-site activities such as our Coach Tour and Feast.

Members are asked to confirm their understanding and acceptance of the Code of Conduct as part of the membership purchase process. Please take this request seriously: as the saying goes, "ignorance is no defence"!

Updating our Code of Conduct

Our existing Code of Conduct has been in use for several years, and has generally worked well. At the same time, community thinking in this area is always moving forward and standards and expectations are continually evolving.

With TitanCon hosting the Eurocon, we therefore felt that this is the right time to review and refresh our existing Code of Conduct and to take on board the positive ideas and learnings that are continually emerging from other events.

We expect that the new version will be published by the end of September, 2018. In the meantime, you can refer to the 2017 Code of Conduct as an indication of our expectations for attendees. We do not expect to materially change these expectations, even if we update the language and processes that we adopt to support them.
